Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to hold the dipped Oreos while they set. This ensures the candy coating won’t stick and your cookies remain perfectly shaped.

Melt the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals on medium heat, stirring after each interval until smooth and glossy. Use a rubber spatula to scrape down the sides and make sure all the candy is evenly melted.

Gently dip each Oreo halfway into the melted candy, allowing excess coating to drip back into the bowl. Place the coated cookies on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart so they don’t touch.

While the coating is still soft, sprinkle the red heart decorations generously over the cookies. Press lightly if needed so they stick to the candy before it hardens.

Let the dipped Oreos set at room temperature for 10–15 minutes, or for a faster finish, chill the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 5 minutes. Once firm, your Valentine’s Day Oreos are ready to serve, gift, or display for a festive touch.

Chef Jenn’s Tips

  • Melt the candy slowly for a silky finish that hugs each Oreo perfectly.
  • Work in small batches so the hearts stick before the coating sets.
  • If the candy thickens, give it a gentle reheat to keep it smooth and dreamy.
